ACUPUNCTURE is a safe and natural method for treating pain, disease, and any emotional or physical imbalance. Sterile, thread like needles, are placed into certain points associated with the 12 main meridians in Chinese Medicine. The sensation of “qi” is attained, similar to a sensation of warmth, fullness, or tingling, leading to a tranquil, meditative state. The needles invigorate energy and balance the system, promoting the body’s natural ability to heal.
CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE consists of over 300 individual herbs compiled into specific formulas designed to treat specific patterns that occur in the body. These traditional formulas have been taken for thousands of years to cure internal/external and physical/emotional diseases. Each formula can be modified according to the specific imbalance and can be taken in many forms—cooked into a tea, granulated into powder, consumed as a tea, taken as capsules or teapills. Chinese herbs are very effective and have fewer side effects than western pharmaceuticals.
CUPPING is an ancient folk medicine practiced by many traditions to relieve muscle tension, move congested phlegm in the lungs, detox the system, and more. The suction created promotes blood flow to the congested area and immediately reduces muscle tension. Often times, a dark circular mark will remain on the skin directly after the cup is removed. This is a normal response that indicates the amount of lactic acid build up in the body. It will clear within a few days or up to a week, depending on the severity of the condition.

 

MOXIBUSTION is an herb traditionally used with acupuncture. It can be used in many different forms. Often times it is burned on the needle to heat up a point or moved above a region of the body to promote warmth, circulation, and healing.
FACIAL OR COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE  is a natural alternative to botox or plastic surgery. Receiving 10 treatments, once a week, consecutively will naturally make the skin look younger, smoother, and all-around healthier. Facial acupuncture addresses not only signs of aging, but also the skin’s overall health. By placing very small needles in the main muscles of the face, it promotes qi and blood to the area and enhances circulation, shrinking the pores and rejuvenating the skin's overall glow.  Microscopic needles are placed in the deeper lines, stimulating more collagen to the area. This results in a more shallow appearance of deep lines and reverses the aging process. Continuing cosmetic acupuncture is a natural way to prevent and to maintain the overall health of the skin.  Each treatment lasts one hour and costs $100 individually.  Packages prices are available at 10 treatments for $900.

Rachael DeLuca completed her 4-year medical training in Classical Chinese Medicine at Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, earning a Master’s of Science. She is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (NM), and is also a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). After running her own clinic of 6 years in Kansas City, MO, she continued her studies in Estes Park, Colorado, completing a 4 month residency program in Qi Gong and Therapeutic Tai Chi. She was instructed by renowned Daoist Priest from Wu Dang Mountain, Master Wu Dang Chen. Rachael attended high school in Marquette, MI and has recently returned to continue her practice and teach Qi Gong and Tai Chi.

She believes in the medicine of the heart. Her philosophy on longevity is to know what truly brings us joy. If we continually explore the voice of the heart, then we will live in what we love, and the body, mind, and spirit will fall in harmony.

She is most interested in assisting a person to health by maintaining a balanced lifestyle and understanding the importance of preventive medicine.

There are three body types that are called Doshas. Through knowing these & balancing them to your original state will keep you healthy. Ayurveda is a personalized approach to health, & knowing your Dosha or mind-body type allows you to make optimal choices about diet, exercise, supplements, & all other aspects of your lifestyle. The three Doshas are Vata, Pitta, & Kapha.
